Competition Format

Many states have different start dates and eligibility requirements for their Field Hockey Teams. We have listened and have included practices and scrimmages that coincide with our Tournament.

The KSA Classic Field Hockey Tournament may include dozens of teams in total, but all teams are divided into competition brackets of 8 teams. This format serves two functions:

  1. Teams are divided into competitive groupings, so whether you are on the high end of the competitive level or rebuilding, you will be seeded into a bracket that is challenging and competitive to your players.
  2. The 8-Team bracket provides a three game guarantee no matter where you finish in the tournament. This allows all participating teams to plan their remaining schedule appropriately.

KSA Field Hockey Scrimmages

Scrimmages provide a great coaching opportunity and still have that big game feel. Scrimmages can be scheduled with officials so you can put your team in a game type environment but still have the ability to start and stop play whenever you like.

KSA Field Hockey Training

Aren’t able to scrimmage or play games? We have several types of training opportunities for your team; from world-class fields, weight training, to team building exercises. We are seeing a large increase in teams looking to gain that extra advantage before their season begins. Training is exactly what you are looking for.

Junior Varsity

As in all KSA Events, Junior Varsity competition is typically available to all teams interested. This allows your entire program to experience the team bonding aspects of KSA Event participation without concern that your younger players will miss out on game experience. JV game quantities vary with participating team interest.
