KSA Events, the nation’s premier host of High School sporting events, is proud to host the KSA Events Classic & Holiday Duals Wrestling Tournament at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex. As with all KSA competitions, participating teams come nationwide from Alaska to Florida and from Massachusetts to California, providing a true national competition format that brings together teams who would otherwise never meet on the mat.
Jeff Bower, Head Wrestling Coach – Point Pleasant Beach HS – Point Pleasant Beach, NJ
“The wrestling tournament and trip to Disney World was one of the most enjoyable times we have had as coaches and our students have had as wrestlers. The trip really brought that team together which did wonders for us as the season went on. The wrestling was great, and the parks were a blast.”
KSA sporting events are also unique because they are competed at the finest professional and amateur athletic venues in the country, located in great destination cities that allow teams to experience the thrill and bonding of team travel that is a true once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for student-athletes.
Although KSA Events bring together some of the most elite teams in the country, KSA accepts teams of all skill levels, giving equal opportunity to all student-athletes. In competition, great effort is taken to seed teams into a bracket that will provide an appropriate level of competition that is both fair and challenging to all.
As exciting as KSA Events competition can be, KSA Events was founded as a non-profit with the assistance of Coaches and Athletic Directors to promote the educational aspects of athletic participation. Therefore, the following key learning points are promoted through KSA participation:
In total, KSA Events truly offer an opportunity for your players to grow as individuals. So whether you are looking to reward your program for years of hard work or bring excitement to a rebuilding program, KSA competition offers a unique educational opportunity to student-athletes.
Fred Perry, Head Wrestling Coach – Arlington High School – Lagrangeville, NY
“The Arlington Wrestling Team has made the trip down to Florida for the KSA Wrestling Tournament several times. Each season that we made the trip the experience was better than the last, especially when we won the Tournament….It was a great opportunity for the wrestling team to bond and for the parents to get to know the wrestlers, coaches and each other on a more personal level. I would highly recommend the Tournament to any coach.”
The KSA Events Wrestling Tournaments will include dozens of teams in total, but all teams are divided into competitive groupings, so whether you are on the high end of the competitive level or rebuilding, you will be seeded into a bracket that is both challenging and competitive to your wrestlers.
Competition itself is in a dual meet format, with the entire team progressing as a unit. Round one consists of a round-robin pool format. Based on the results from each pool, teams are seeded into a traditional bracket for round two, which will determine overall team placements.
No matter where you finish, teams are guaranteed a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 8 dual meets over the course of the tournament, providing plenty of mat time and allowing all participating teams to plan their remaining schedule appropriately.
As in all KSA Events, Junior Varsity competition is typically available to all teams interested. This allows your entire program to experience the team bonding aspects of KSA Event participation without concern that your younger players will miss out on game experience. JV game quantities vary with participating team interest.
The KSA Events Classic Wrestling Tournament is officially sanctioned by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS). Therefore, all participating teams must be members in good standing of their State High School Athletic Association.
KSA holds a separate tournament, if necessary, for any private, parochial or other schools not members of a NFHS member association. This allows all schools, no matter their affiliation, to meet appropriate sanctioning requirements.
Bill Bianchi, Head Wrestling Coach – Chase Collegiate HS – Waterbury, CT
“Our trip to Disney for the KSA event was a great learning experience for our student athletes. The competition was made up of teams with multiple skill levels and these made the event very much worthwhile for our program. Not only did the team get to gain valuable experience on the mat, they more importantly got to develop friendships and memories that will remain with them a lifetime. The members of the KSA team were very helpful in guiding me through the process and provided flexibility and service whenever it was needed.
I would recommend KSA to any coach that is looking to help grow their program and to leave a lasting impressions on the youth they mentor.”
The KSA Events Classic & Holiday Wrestling Tournament is competed in Orlando at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, the premier amateur athletic facility in the world. An exciting venue, we can utilize up to 10 adjacent mats for a tremendous competition atmosphere.
KSA Events was organized by Coaches and Athletic Directors, so we set up all of our tournaments from day one to be Coach friendly. As any team who has traveled can tell you, the travel portion of any trip can be overwhelming if done yourself. To eliminate this time-taker from your schedule, all KSA Events include travel packages so you can concentrate on coaching and we will take care of the travel arrangements for your team and their families.
Here are a couple of these points to consider:
KSA Events has been around for 25 years and has made travel arrangements for tens of thousands of team members and their parents. Therefore, our packages include everything your team will need — from hotel rooms to park tickets to bus transportation. All this planning on our part means that you will finally be able to enjoy a team trip and spend some time with your family.
Just follow the guidelines in our Coaches Corner and your trip will be as easy as 1-2-3. You can concentrate on coaching and we will take care of the rest.
This program, unique to KSA Events, allows parents and family members to travel with the team but make their reservations and payments through KSA Events, not you. So you never have to deal with Tag-Along questions but your team gets credit for their participation.
Some Tournaments host this exclusive KSA Events party is a special event, open to tournament participants and KSA Events Tag-Along Fans only. Team trophy presentations start off the night and then everyone can enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime private party in a closed off section of a Theme Park, including dancing, eating, and all the park rides you can handle.

The primary mission of KSA Events is to promote the educational aspects of athletic participation, including team-work, sportsmanship, work-ethic, and responsibility, to name a few. Furthermore, our goal is to foster an environment where classroom learning is valued and rewarded just as much as athletic achievement on the basketball court, creating a truly balanced education. To accomplish this goal, KSA awards two separate scholarships as described below.
All scholarships are awarded in accordance with the eligibility regulations of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and appropriate State Athletic Associations.
A KSA Events Book Scholarship is awarded to every team that participates in a KSA Events Wrestling Tournament, setting an attainable goal for all participating student-athletes. This scholarship (a one-time award of $250) is to defer the cost of secondary education in support of KSA’s mission to promote education.
Each team’s winner of the KSA Events Book Scholarship is selected by the school Principal and/or Athletic Director and/or Coach based on the following criterion:
The award is to be granted to the best all-around student-athlete on the team that participated in the KSA Event. This definition is to include accomplishment and leadership not only on the court, but also in the classroom and community. It is the specific intent of KSA not to simply reward the athlete with the greatest physical ability. It is rather intended to reward the example set by those students who excel on the court and who take the lessons of athletics into the world to benefit themselves and others.
KSA Events is proud to offer our Tag-Along Fan program, which allows the family and friends of participating athletes to travel with the team.
This means that you will contact us directly to sign up, make payments, and receive information, freeing your coach to concentrate on the team and the season, not your travel arrangements.
Benefits exclusive to Tag-Along Fans include the following, just to name a few:
Some Tournaments include this exclusive KSA Events Party is a special event open to tournament participants and KSA Tag-Along Fans only. Awards start off the night and then everyone can enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime private party in a closed off section of a Theme Park, including dancing, eating, and all the park rides you can handle.
